Using CyberComply for GDPR compliance
The GDPR is a substantial and wide-ranging piece of legislation, and getting to grips with how compliance affects your organisation can be daunting. However, CyberComply can help your organisation comply with the GDPR quickly and efficiently.
The first step in compliance with the GDPR is to understand your current position. CyberComply will help you perform a gap analysis against the requirements of the GDPR so you can understand your data protection and privacy starting point.
The GDPR requires that organisations respect the privacy and data of data subjects. CyberComply can help you define and record the personal data that you hold or process, where it is located and how sensitive it is. You can also record the lawful basis for each processing activity, which is a requirement for GDPR compliance.
CyberComply can create data flow maps. These show how data flows through your organisation and the regions where it is processed. The GDPR has requirements in relation to where data is processed and CyberComply can show you immediately whether you have any problematic data flows.
Some types of data and processing require data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to be carried out. Once your data flow maps are in place, you will be able to see where you need to perform DPIAs, and CyberComply can help you complete them.
Once you are compliant with the GDPR, CyberComply can also help you with ongoing matters, such as receiving a data subject access request (DSAR), dealing with a data breach, or maintaining your GDPR compliance with annual audits.
